BlodkreftforeningenBlodkreftforeningen (the blood cancer association) is a Norwegian nationwide organization for people who have or have had leukaemia, myelomatosis (bone marrow cancer), myeloproliferative diseases (MPN), stem cell transplant or another blood cancer-related disease, as well as for their relatives/dependents.
The purpose of the association
To be supportive and do equal work for people who have or have had blood cancer-related diseases (and their relatives/dependents).
Provide information on progress and new treatment methods
Publish the member magazine “I margen” (in the marrow) and maintain the website pages
The need for the association is great, especially because many feel the need for support and conversation with others who are undergoing (or have undergone) the same treatment. The association works in particular to do equal work and to be a safe gathering point for people in the same situation.
