Mercy Ships operates a 16,000-tonne hospital ship which provides free medical surgeries to the poorest nations of the earth. Manned by volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and other health care professionals, the Africa Mercy performs life-saving surgery for thousands of patients each year.
The Africa Mercy is operating in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 2011.
